Minimum Wage in Ontario - A Lesson Resource Document
This resource document has been prepared for teachers to consider using in subject areas such as, Civics, Economics, Politics, Careers ....  Teachers should consult Ministry of Education curriculum documents to ensure that the topic is relevant for the subject and make adaptations where appropriate.  Questions regarding this document may be directed to  David Pickering, Treasurer, OSSTF District 12 - 416-393-8900.

A Million Reasons to Raise the Minimum Wage

The official launch of the Labour Council campaign "A Million Reasons to Raise the Minimum Wage" took place on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at the Parkdale Library.  To see a short video of the event visit:

At the January 18, 2007 Teacher Bargaining Unit Council meeting, Councillors unanimously endorsed the Toronto and York Region Labour Council campaign, “A Million Reasons to Raise the Minimum Wage.”

 

The STBU Executive urges all members to visit labourcouncil.ca to complete an online petition in support of this campaign   - http://www.forthepublicgood.ca/takeaction3.cfm.
