Taken together the following two documents define the process for Teacher Performance Appraisal for New Teachers in the Toronto District School Board, as of September 2007.
The second document is the 2006 Manual from the Ministry of Education website, which outlines the Ministry mandated process.
The first document reflects an agreement between the OSSTF District 12 Secondary Teachers' Bargaining Unit, the Elementary Teachers of Toronto and the Employees Services department of the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) as to the specific process to be used in the TDSB. It includes specific timelines and requirements that are not in the Ministry Manual and provides two charts that provide teacher and administrators with an overview of the critical components of the process.
