Notes From the June 05/ 06 PAC meeting

 

  1. The agenda was approved.

 

  1. The minutes from the May 1st, 2006 meeting were approved.

 

  1. Business Arising:

 

·         The STBU Executive approved the donation of $225 towards the cost of renting a bus for the Cross-Border Event (held June 17th) organized by the War Resister Support Campaign.

 

  1. Earl Burt reported on the following:

 

·         Earl outlined some of the motions coming to the June 22nd District General Meeting

·         Earl presented the pamphlet prepared by the Canadian Labour Congress for the upcoming municipal elections

·         Earl presented the District 12 PAC Plan for the 2006 Municipal Elections

 

 

Hayssam reported that the Municipal Election Flyer would be ready in time for the June 22 District General Meeting.

 

  1. Hayssam was nominated by Vivian Payne to stand for PAC Chair for the 2006/2007 school year.  Hayssam accepted the nomination.  As there were no further nominations, no election was necessary. 

 

 

 

It was decided at this meeting that PAC’s main priority/focus for September-November would be the Municipal elections, and that we would suspend the sub-committee structure for the fall.
