What is AMPA?

AMPA is the acronym for Annual Meeting of Provincial Assembly.  It is the annual general meeting of provincial OSSTF.  Held over the first weekend of March Break (Friday evening - late Monday afternoon), changes/additions/deletions to the provincial OSSTF constitution and Policy Statements  are debated, the budget is set and the Annual Action Plan or priorities for the upcoming year are put in place.  In addition, elections for the Provincial Executive occur every two years at this meeting.

Each District and Bargaining Unit has representatives at AMPA, the number of which is determined by the size of the District/Bargaining Unit in accordance with the provincial OSSTF Constitution.  If you are interested in being a D12 AMPA delegate, watch for the call for delegates that comes out to schools in November.
